Religious education classes are offered every Sunday starting in September continuing through May. Classes meet every Sunday from 9:10 until 10:15AM.
We have a wonderful group of volunteer parishioners who devote their time to the children to encourage the growth of their relationship with God. Each classroom has a fun loving atmosphere enabling the children to enjoy their experience of learning about God.
The Second Grade is prepared for both the sacrament of Penance and Holy Communion.(Participation in First Grade Religious Education is a prerequisite.) First Penance is celebrated the first week of Advent followed by the Sacrament of Holy Communion celebrated the First Sunday of May.
The Sacrament of Confirmation is a two year course starting in the Ninth Grade with the sacrament celebrated at the end of the 10th grade. This entails at least one retreat per year for the students.
Four Sundays of the year a Family Mass is celebrated at 10:30 AM. This Mass includes the children in various parts of the celebration followed by a coffee hour in the Parish Hall.
Our goal at the end of every Religious education year is to have the children gain a better knowledge of their religion and to leave with a stronger sense of love for God.
Registration is held at the beginning of September each year.
