SOUP KITCHEN PROGRAM
Once per month, a hot meal is prepared and then served to those in need.
St. Augustin's Choir is a mixed group of men and women of all ages and backgrounds. The choir sings every Sunday at the 9:30 Mass (occasionally at 4:00) and for Holy Day Masses. Anybody age 13 and older with a love for singing and the ability to make a serious commitment is welcome to join.
St. Mary's Youth Choir is open to all children of St.Augustin's in the 2nd grade and older. The choristers rehearse on Wednesday afternoons at 3:45 in St. Mary's parish center, and sing at St. Mary's 9:30 Mass approximately twice a month. Some of the things we focus on in rehearsals and preparation are: singing great sacred music, learning about the liturgy, learning church history, praying to God with our music.
MINISTRY OF CONSOLATION
Members of this ministry serve in many ways: sing at funeral masses, set up for funerals, distribute the Holy Eucharist, greet guests as they arrive.
EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF THE EUCHARIST
Members of this ministry assist in the distribution of the Holy Eucharist at Mass. At each Mass it is optimal to have at least three volunteers.
We need two lectors to proclaim the readings at each Mass. Workbooks with reading hints and pronunciation guides are provided. If you have public speaking experience, then please consider volunteering for this vital ministry.
Help welcome parishioners to the church. Pass the basket and handout bulletins while wishing everyone a nice day.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION TEACHER ON SUNDAYS AFTER THE 9:30AM MASS
Do you have teaching experience or perhaps a son or daughter in the program? Please consider teaching a sacramental preparation class. Teacher/student bonds last a lifetime.
We want to provide our young parishioners with a positive leadership experience by assisting the priest at Mass. This ministry offers our youth great life-long memories and strengthens pride in their church.
Members of the Parish Council listen to the pulse of the parish and advise and assist the Pastor to be successful in our mission.
MEN OF ST. JOSEPH
Men meet for mass, breakfast, fellowship and prayer on the third Saturday of each month. We meet at St. Mary's church at 8:30 and continue in the parish center until 10:00am.
RESPECT LIFE COMMITTEE
Do you have a heart and a deep respect for all God's creation? Please consider helping us in this vital ministry to assist ministries that provide support to people in critical times in their lives.
